A beautiful and complete armour with a 62-plate hoshi kabuto and gusoku bitsu, Edo Period (1603-1867)

Hachi with 62 iron ken with Ko-hoshi. Black-lacquered, iron Mabizashi. Beautiful tehen-no-kanamono, the back with red silk Agemaki. Original red-lacquered wooden maedate on an unusual long Tsunomoto. Five-plate hikoro in Hineno style with black Tataki-nuri lacquer and with original Sugake-odoshi in Kon Ito. Large Fukigaeshi decorated en suite and with "Kikko-ni-Hidari-Mitsu-Tomoe" mon. Complete scabbard (Ukebari) with Shinobi-no-o. Red-brown lacquered Hanbo with Umebachi-mon on the chin. Yodare-kake made of iron mail over cloth. Bishamon-kote with the same decoration. San-Mai Do in Okegawa style lacquered and decorated en suite. Five-plate Kusazuri lacquered in the same manner and in perfect condition. The Sihai-no-kan with beautiful base decorated with chrysanthemum. The back of the Do with Hata-sashimono. Complete with all other elements such as Haidate, Sune-ate and Waki-ate worked en suite. Very rare armour from the early Edo period, complete with all original parts and kept in the original wooden Yoroi/Gusoku-bitsu. The complete Gusoku set is accompanied by a Nihon Kacchu-Bugu Kennkyu-Hozon- kai (NKBKHK) certificate graded 'Koshu-Tokubetsu Kicho-Shiryo' (excellent quality, only one grade below Juyo-Bunka-Shiryo) and describing it as 'Tetsu-sabiji-nuri Okegawa Gusoku'. Early Edo period, 17th century. Mannequin not included.
