dating: first quarter of the 20th Century provenance: China, Large horn hilt with silver mounts engraved and embossed; the ring-nut with a dragon's head, the rest decorated with floral motifs; quillon decorated with coloured stones, and with a Greek fret on the border. Impressive horn scabbard (slightly damaged, flattened on one side) with silver-foil mounts engraved and embossed with stylized dragons and floral motifs, chape with dragon's head. Suspension ring held by a dragon in the round. Simple, carved and partially pierced, jade decorations with coloured stones. Total length with scabbard: 77 cm. length 47 cm.
