Literature
A. Hunter (edited by), Daido Moriyama, Chuo-koron-sh, Tokyo, 1972
A hunter photographer, unattached to any place and therefore close to all, (his father moved with him as a child to different cities for work), Daido Moriyama knows how to transform an apparently aseptic element such as a stray dog he caught on New Year's Eve 1971 morning just outside the hotel where he was staying into a memorable photograph. The blurring, the contrast between the dark figure and the background, the sun illuminating a part of the animal convey a sense of suspension that attracts.
