Original painting made by Robustelli in 2011 inspired by the famous opera by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart "The Magic Flute". Work exhibited in the homonymous exhibition held at the Galleria Papel in Milan in 2011. << For some years, Giovanni Robustelli has loved to immerse himself in the materials of fairy tales, of which he offers visual reinterpretations of great value. In this case, here he is at work with large watercolors on the theme of the Magic Flute. With the notable difference, however, that his is not an illustration of its contents, but rather a dazzling reference to its suggestions, and carried out through an authentic chromatic explosion. Therefore, Robustelli's takes on the value not of a visualization of the tale, but rather of a visual counterpoint of its mythical values, especially through an explosive boiling of colors: warm, expressive, engaging. Which therefore become a support for the symbolism of the story. A comparison, valid for the eyes, on the symbolism of the relationship between the sun and the dark, between good and evil, between day and night >> (Gianni Brunoro). Signed on the front and signed and dated on the back.
