Original illustration made by Busi during the 1920s for one of his famous postcards. Painter, poster artist and illustrator, Busi graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Bologna. In 1914 he participated in the II Mostra della Secessione Romana with Morandi and Corsi. Towards the end of the 1920s he began a long collaboration with the Officine Grafiche Ricordi, becoming one of the most refined Italian poster artists. He was also intense in his work as an illustrator of fables and postcards with patriotic or gallant/social subjects (best wishes, anniversaries, love letters), all dominated by the presence of pleasant and smiling "little ladies", well-modeled, airy in their graceful movements, but free from that "malice" that characterized many of his colleagues of the time. Posting holes in the margins. Signed.
