Specialist Notes
Born in 1927 and produced until 1931, the Ford Model A was a great success for the company, Ford's second best-selling car after the Model T. It will be replaced in 1932 by the Model B. As per tradition, for American cars, the “model year” was very important and the A did not escape the tradition of annual renewal. The example up for auction is a 1931 model, the latest evolution of the A. In this case in the roadster version and with a particularly rich set of accessories, from the radiator protection grille to the additional spotlights, to the white wall tires, to the beveled deflector glasses with floral motifs. The paint is two-tone ivory-brown. The car has participated in the Mille Miglia re-enactment and is eligible for the Mille Miglia. It has Carte Grise and Swiss license plates. Chassis and engine are matching numbers.
