Specialist Notes
Among the cars that have become mythical, the Citroen DS is one of the best known. Roland Barthes, who dealt with myths, wrote an essay on the "Deèsse" (goddess), explaining why this car was immediately a revolutionary and suggestive icon. This is a DS21 "injection électronique" version (equipped with Bosch electronic injection), in Pallas setup and was, therefore, the top-of-the-range version at the time. The car, perfectly preserved, has always been in the Borsani family, initially owned by Osvaldo Borsani; well-known Italian architect, designer and entrepreneur, founder of the Tecno company; he forged friendships and professional collaborations with the best known avant-garde artists. Works by Osvaldo Borsani, produced by Tecno, are exhibited in the most important museums. The documents, Italian, are in order and updated.
