Venezia, Carlo Palese, 1794. In 8° grande. Vignetta calcografica al frontespizio di F. Novelli, all'interno altri 2 frontespizi per le diverse sezioni: "Lettera prima. Monumenti della Tipografia genovese del secolo XV" con stemma calcografico e "Lettera seconda. Primi monumenti della pavese e bresciana tipografia nuovamente scoperti" con vignetta calcografica di Novelli, legatura coeva in mezza pelle con angoli, dorso liscio impresso in, oro con filetti ed elementi fitomorfi, doppio tassello con titolo e iniziali D.L. e A. R., tagli rossi, qualche abrasione.
Prima edizione. Interessante repertorio bibliografico in bell'esemplare su carta forte. Il Boni (1746-1817) si concentra sulle tipografie di Genova, Savona, Novi, Fivizzano, Pavia, Brescia, Jesi, Napoli, Milano, Tolosa, Firenze, Venezia, Voghera, Torino, Toscolano, Treviso, Messaga e Portesio. "Treats of the typographical monuments of Genoa in the fifteenth century; also of those of Pavia and Brescia" (Bigmore & Wyman I, 70); Besterman III, 5141; Bonamici p. 27; Graesse I, p. 487.
