Robbie Keane , born Robert David Keane in Tallaght, Ireland, on 8 July 1980, is an Irish football manager and former footballer. He had an illustrious career as a striker, representing some of the world's most prestigious clubs and becoming the Irish national team's all-time top scorer.
Keane began his professional career with Wolverhampton Wanderers in England.
He then made appearances for several top-level clubs, including Inter (a not particularly prolific Italian period) and Tottenham Hotspur (where he found his best expression).
Keane is the Irish national team's all-time top scorer, with 68 goals in 146 appearances. He has played in three European Championships (2004, 2012, 2016) and one World Cup (2002).
