La peculiarità di questo modello era l'assenza di spallette protettive della corona di carica e la presenza di una lunetta in bachelite. Tale lunetta si dimostrò molto fragile quindi venne poi sostituita da Rolex con una lunetta in alluminio come nel modello presentato che è del 1957/58ca.
