Le figure centrali della Madonna con il Bambino trovano un confronto con quelle delle tele oggi conservate a Schloss Rohrau e nelle raccolte della Banca Popolare di Novara (N. Spinosa, Francesco Solimena (1657 - 1747) e le Arti a Napoli, Roma 2018, cat. 222 e 222.1, p. 482). A differenza dei due dipinti citati, la cui composizione si limita alle sole due figure della madre e del figlio, quindi probabilmente nate per la devozione privata, qui siamo di fronte ad una vera e propria pala d'altare, di grandi dimensioni e con numerose figure che popolano lo spazio, creando un impianto di grande complessità e impatto visivo.private collection.
