dating: Period (1603-1867) provenance: Japan, Nagasa (length 45.5 cm) with hada and hamon not visible, needs cleaning, gilded copper habaki. Nakago gimei: Inoue Shinkai with a mekugi-ana. Koshirae with tsuba in shakudo engraved with floral motifs in partially gilded relief. Beautiful fuchi-kashira and menuki in shakudo decorated in relief, partially gilded on a dark background, kashira with a beautiful heron. Complete with black silk tsuka-ito. Saya made of black lacquered wood (missing parts). Kogatana-mei. length 64,5 cm.
